Let´s go abroad

Students have various opportunities to spend one or even several study periods abroad.

Studying abroad

You can complete the practical study window in the 5th semester in an international environment and thus gain professional experience. It is also possible to spend the semester at one of our partner universities abroad. A learning agreement is concluded instead of the internship contract. Lectures at the partner university can be chosen to complement the local degree programme. In this way, the international study semester offers students the opportunity to focus on their own areas of study.

The final thesis can also be written abroad. Students agree on the topic of their thesis and the subject-related support with the responsible supervisor.

Early consultation with the degree programme coordinators and the respective international coordinators within the school is recommended. The Internship Office supports students in their search for a suitable company or research institution.

Exchange students

The School of Life Sciences welcomes exchange students from its partner universities every semester. In our preparatory semester getstaRTed, we help you to achieve the necessary language level and prepare you optimally for your studies in Germany. At the RIO you will receive counselling and information about your stay. There is also a varied programme of courses and workshops.
